What can you do when all the stars disappear from the sky? You go get them back, of course!

In Meteor Night you’re a kid on a mission to retrieve all the stars that disappeared from the sky for your sad best friend. In this platformer indie game you’ll explore four maps set in a dark night and catch all the stars with a golden rope made of starlight.

This project was made for the ‘A Game By Its Cover’, a contest that took place in summer 2012, where developers were challenged to create games based on fictional game cartridges. Meteor Night was inspired by a cover made by Ashley Davis and Tiny Cartridge, showing two blue characters watching the stars. As a nod to the original artists’ idea, I implemented a mode where the players could watch the sky with all the stars they collected during the game.

The game was showcased at GameCity 2012 in London with all the other AGBIC games and was very well received.
