Pissin' You Off

Inspired by the many disadventures I had with my own pet, Pissin’ You Off is a simple arcade game where you impersonate a dog whose purpose is to get people mad. How? By peeing all over the house! It’s a very weird take on the theme of the contest: “You are the Villain”.

For this project I abandoned Game Maker Studio and tried using a more traditional approach. I wrote the code in the Haxe language using the HaxeFlixel library, making programming a much harder task. Having only 72 hours and not much experience with Haxe caused many difficulties along the road, but I managed to create a functional version in time.

Many Ludum Dare partecipants appreciated Pissin’ You Off because they found it very amusing, therefore it ranked 15th in the “Humor (Jam)” category out of more than 1000 games.
